Every client's Shopify, HubSpot and ad numbers, in a deck
Connector tools already pull client data into Google Sheets or Excel. Point Quiriz at that file, turn on a daily refresh, and ask for the answer, the table or the whole PowerPoint deck.
The monthly client report is the same work every month: export, paste, rebuild the charts, write the commentary. A connector tool takes care of the export. Quiriz takes care of the rest, with the same metric definitions for every client and every month.
How it works
- A connector tool writes the client's data to a spreadsheet. A Google Sheet or an Excel workbook on OneDrive, one per client, one tab per source, refreshed every morning.
- Quiriz reads each tab as a dataset. You connect the file once.
- Quiriz refreshes the datasets daily. It picks up whatever the connector wrote overnight.
- You ask. A number, a table and chart in Excel or Sheets, a PowerPoint or Google Slides deck, or a Word report. ROAS, win rate and net sales mean the same thing in every one, because you define them once in Company Context.
Connector tools that write to Google Sheets or Excel
Each of these covers Shopify, HubSpot, Google Ads and Meta Ads and refreshes a spreadsheet on a schedule. Prices are the lowest plan that includes scheduled refresh.
| Tool | Starting price | What it includes | Google Sheets | Excel on OneDrive | Free plan or trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| API Connector | $15/mo ($12 annually) | 2,500 requests a month. You set up the API requests yourself. | Daily | — | Free plan (no schedule) |
| Adveronix | $29/mo | 5 ad accounts, 5 saved reports. No-code setup. | Daily or hourly | — | 2-week trial |
| Porter Metrics | $15/mo for 1 account | $40 for 4 accounts, $8 per account for 5–12, $100 for 13–20 | Daily | — | 14-day trial |
| Catchr | $24/mo | 3 platforms, 10 accounts | Daily | — | 14-day trial |
| Windsor.ai | $23/mo ($19 annually) | 3 sources. All four sources from $118/mo ($99 annually), 75 accounts | Daily, even on Free | Manual refresh only | Free plan (1 source, 1 account), 30-day trial |
| Dataslayer | €20/mo billed annually | 3 sources, 3 accounts each. 7 sources and 50 accounts at €99/mo | Daily | Scheduled | Free plan (1 source, manual refresh) |
| Supermetrics | $55/mo ($44 annually) | 3 sources, 3 accounts per source, 1 user | Check the plan | Scheduled | 14-day trial |
| Skyvia | Free, then $79/mo billed annually | Free plan runs once a day, up to 10,000 records a month | Daily | Adds rows only | Free plan |
List prices in USD (Dataslayer in EUR), checked October 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on their pricing page before you buy. "Scheduled" in the Excel column means the tool refreshes a workbook saved in OneDrive or SharePoint without anyone opening it.
Not a fit for this setup: automation tools that add one row per event, such as a new order, cannot pull an ad report into a spreadsheet. Tools that deliver only to a data warehouse need that warehouse first.
Which one to pick
- Lowest cost for all four sources: API Connector at $15 a month, if you are comfortable setting up API requests. Adveronix at $29 a month if you'd rather click through a form.
- One to three clients: Porter Metrics. You pay per connected account, with no cap on sources.
- Growing past about ten clients: Windsor.ai. Its Standard plan pools 75 accounts across all sources.
- Your team works in Excel: Dataslayer or Supermetrics, which refresh a workbook on OneDrive on a schedule.
- Free to start: Skyvia's free plan refreshes a Google Sheet once a day.
Set up the connector
The steps differ a little by tool, but these settings are what make the data come out right in Quiriz:
- One file per client, one tab per source. For example, a "Northwind" Sheet or workbook with tabs for Shopify orders, HubSpot deals, Google Ads and Meta Ads. For Excel, save the workbook in OneDrive.
- Pick a fixed start date, such as January 1, 2024, rather than "last 30 days". Quiriz replaces the dataset on every refresh, so the file should hold the full history you want to ask about.
- Choose Replace (sometimes called overwrite), not Append. Ad platforms restate recent days as conversions come in, and HubSpot deals change stage. Append turns each change into a second row, and totals get counted twice.
- Pull daily rows by campaign for ads, and one row per order or deal for Shopify and HubSpot. Include the IDs (campaign ID, order ID, deal ID) as well as the names.
- Schedule the refresh for early morning, before the Quiriz refresh window you pick below.
- Keep the columns stable. Adding a column later is fine. Renaming or removing one stops the Quiriz refresh until it's restored.
Connect a Google Sheet in Quiriz
- Open Import Data from the side navigation and click Google Drive.
- Give Quiriz view access to the Sheet. Either share it as a Viewer with the address shown under the box (data@quiriz.co), or click Connect Google if that option appears.
- Paste the Sheet's URL and click Load.
- Under Select Sheets, pick the tabs to import, then click Convert.
- Click Upload as Dataset, or Upload All for several tabs. Each tab becomes its own dataset, already linked to the Sheet.
Turn on the daily refresh for a Google Sheet
- Open Manage Data, select the dataset, and click Schedule Data Refresh.
- File Source is already set to Google Sheet, with the Sheet filled in.
- Set Refresh mode to By file ID.
- Set Check frequency to Daily and pick a time window, such as Morning (6am–12pm). Quiriz uses the timezone in My Preferences.
- Click Save Schedule, then Run Now to test it. The result shows under Ingestion History.
Repeat for each tab's dataset. Every report and deck built on these datasets reads the refreshed numbers on its next run.
Connect an Excel workbook on OneDrive
- Open Import Data and click OneDrive. If you see Connect Microsoft, click it and sign in with the Microsoft account that holds the workbook.
- In your browser, open the OneDrive folder that holds the workbook and copy the address bar link (it starts with
https://onedrive.live.com/?id=). - Paste it and click Load. Tick the workbook in the file list, then click Import 1 file.
- When the import finishes, click Schedule refresh on the "Set up scheduled refresh for these files?" banner.
- Set the workbook to Refresh the same updated file, choose Daily and a time window, and click Save.
Quiriz checks the workbook at that time each day and refreshes the datasets when the connector has updated it. To change the schedule later, or to run it right away, use Schedule Data Refresh on Manage Data.
Scheduled refresh is included from the Plus plan. On Free, use Run Now from Schedule Data Refresh.
Common problems
- "Format change detected — missing columns". A column was renamed or removed in the file or the connector query. The refresh stopped and kept the existing data. Restore the column, or import the file again as a new dataset.
- Totals are too high. The connector is in Append mode, or the Quiriz refresh mode is set to Append data. Switch both to replace.
- The refresh says there is nothing new. Quiriz only refreshes when the file has changed since the last run. Check that the connector's own schedule ran.
- The file is getting large. Google Sheets holds up to 10 million cells per file. Split long histories by year, or drop columns you never ask about.
Pricing
You pay for workspaces and the people who build them, not for everyone who asks a question. Daily refresh is included from the Plus plan. See pricing →
