Your Shopify store, answered in plain words
Connect your store read-only and ask what you would have asked an analyst: net sales by month, margin by product category, how much of a month's revenue came back as refunds. Answers use Shopify's own definitions, refresh daily, and reach you in a spreadsheet, a report or a deck.
Shopify's reports answer the questions Shopify anticipated. Everything else becomes an export, a spreadsheet and an hour of reconciling: orders in one file, refunds in another, unit costs somewhere else, and ad spend in a third place. Quiriz reads your store directly and answers the question you actually have, the same way every time.
How it works
- Connect your store. Sign in to Shopify once and approve read-only access. Quiriz re-reads the store once a day.
- Ask. In the Quiriz app, or from the places you already work: Excel, Google Sheets, Word, PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Slides and Slack.
- Get an answer you can check. A figure, a table or a chart, with the query behind it available to inspect.
What comes in from your store
- Orders and line items, including discounts.
- Refunds, counted on the day they were refunded, as in Shopify's own sales report.
- Products and variants, with the unit cost you have set on each variant, which is what makes gross profit and contribution margin possible.
Net sales follows Shopify's own sales report, so the figure you see in Quiriz matches the one you would find in Shopify. Connecting is read-only: Quiriz never creates, edits or deletes anything in your store. If you would rather not sign in to your store, upload your exports instead. The metric definitions are the same.
Questions to ask
- "Net sales by product category last quarter." Answers break down by product category and by acquisition channel, over any window you ask for.
- "Contribution margin by product category, after discounts, refunds and ad spend." Quiriz subtracts all three the same way every month.
- "What was net sales per dollar of Google Ads and Meta Ads spend each month, and what did a new customer cost?" Ad accounts connect the same way, so the spend comes from the accounts themselves.
- "How far apart are Shopify net sales and QuickBooks revenue each month?" The gap is expected, from timing and accounting entries. The question shows how large it is.
- "Why does Google Analytics 4 report different revenue than Shopify, by day?"
The full list of definitions, and how each one is computed, is on the e-commerce page.
Answers where you work
- In a spreadsheet. Ask from a cell in Excel or Sheets and the answer lands in the cell as a number, a table or a chart.
- In a report or a deck. Put an answer into a Word or Google Docs report, or build and refresh the monthly review deck in PowerPoint or Google Slides.
- In Slack. Ask in the channel where the question came up and get the answer and chart there.
- In your inbox. A saved report can run on a schedule you choose and be emailed on each run. Scheduled reports are included from the Plus plan.
What it is for, and what it is not
A connected store is re-read once a day, so the numbers are not live. This suits the weekly or monthly margin and sales review, not a live sales ticker. Gross profit and contribution margin need a unit cost on each variant in Shopify; where it is blank, cost of goods cannot be computed for that variant. Stores with a very large order count may import only their newest whole months, up to a limit set by your workspace admin.
What stays private
Quiriz does not use your store's data to train AI models, and uploaded source files are deleted after conversion. Any column can be excluded at import, and the platform runs on infrastructure in the United States. Privacy policy →
