What's inside

Transactions

Date, Type (Income / Expense), Category, Amount, Notes. Drop-downs for Type and Category keep entries consistent. A few example rows show the format.

Summary

Total income, total expenses, and net profit, plus a 12-month table breaking income, expenses, and net down by month — all calculated automatically.

Categories

Editable income and expense category lists. Change them here and the Transactions drop-down updates to match.

Once it fills up, just ask it questions

A P&L sheet answers "what's my net profit." For everything else — "which expense category grew fastest last quarter?" — you can upload the same file to Quiriz and ask in plain English, no new formulas. Free to try.

How to use it

  1. Download and open it in Excel, or import it into Google Sheets (File → Import → Upload).
  2. Log each transaction on the Transactions sheet: pick Income or Expense, choose a category, enter the amount and a note.
  3. Read the Summary sheet. Net profit and the month-by-month breakdown recalculate as you add rows — nothing to build.
  4. Make it yours. Edit the lists on the Categories sheet to match how your business tracks money.

Yes. The file is a standard .xlsx. In Google Sheets, choose File → Import → Upload and select the file. The SUMIF and SUMPRODUCT formulas work the same way in Google Sheets as in Excel.
