Plus AI for PowerPoint and Google Slides: pricing, limits, and what it doesn’t do

Plus AI works inside the deck you already have, which most generators do not. It writes the slides. It does not say where the figures came from.

Plus AI is the strongest third-party generator that behaves like a real add-in, and it is the one professional deck builders name most often. It generates a presentation or a single slide, rewrites a slide, and reformats one into a cleaner layout, in PowerPoint or Google Slides. If you build a lot of new decks, it is a good buy.

This page covers what the plans cost, what the credits buy, and the one job it does not claim to do: get your own numbers onto the slide and keep them right.

1. What the plans cost, and what a credit buys

From Plus AI’s own pricing page, per user per month, billed annually (monthly billing costs more):

$10Basic: 1,500 AI credits a month
$20Pro: 3,000 credits, document uploads, MCP server, API
$30Team: 6,000 credits, custom branding and shared presets

Max is $200 a month for unlimited credits, and Enterprise is custom. Paid plans start with a 7-day trial that includes 1,000 credits and requires a card. The page says a typical task uses 40 to 170 credits, so by that arithmetic Basic covers somewhere between about 9 and 37 tasks a month. That depends heavily on the task, and a full deck sits toward the expensive end. This is my division of their figures, not their claim.

2. The numbers are yours to supply

On the pricing page I found no description of a connection to Excel, Google Sheets or any dataset. Pro adds uploads of PDF, Word and text documents, which means a figure inside a document can end up on a slide. That is different from asking a question of your data and getting a computed answer.

So a figure on a Plus AI slide is as true as whatever you put in the prompt or the document. Quiriz works the other way round: the question is stored on each object and compiled to SQL against every row, so the figure is computed and the same question can be asked again.

From leading business intelligence

The argument in a metrics meeting is almost never about the arithmetic. It is about definition: whether “net sales” means before or after returns, whether the quarter ends on the 30th or the last Friday. A tool that writes slides cannot settle that, because the definition lives somewhere upstream of the slide.

What settled it, every time I saw it settled, was writing the definition down once and making everything read from it. Slide tools are downstream of that decision. The ones that generate slides are not wrong to be, but they should not be asked to make it.

3. Next month’s deck

Plus AI can rewrite and remix slides, which helps when the content changes shape. When the content only changes numbers, there is no object on the slide that knows its own question, so bringing it current means regenerating, or retyping the figures yourself and hoping you got every instance. In Quiriz each chart, table and figure keeps its question on the shape, and Refresh all re-asks every one of them in the layout you left.

Where Plus AI genuinely wins

It generates and restyles. Give it a topic and it produces a deck; give it an ugly slide and it produces a cleaner one. Quiriz does neither, and has no design-from-a-prompt, no stock imagery and no layout generator. Plus AI also lists a Presentation API and an MCP server on Pro and above, so a developer can script deck creation from other tools, which Quiriz is not aimed at. For a team that produces many new decks, Plus AI is the better purchase and you do not need us for it.

Using both

They sit at opposite ends of the same job. Plus AI is good at the layout and the words; Quiriz is for the figures and for refreshing them. The workable route is to build the layout first and then let Quiriz fill and refresh the data objects inside it, since Quiriz uses your deck’s own layouts and theme colors. I have not run that pairing end to end, so treat it as a suggestion rather than a tested workflow. The mistake to avoid is asking a generator to be the system of record for a monthly number, because it will happily produce a deck that foots to itself and to nothing else.

Which one is right for you

Plus AI alone is fine if…

  • You build many new decks inside PowerPoint or Slides
  • The figures are few and you have checked them
  • You want slides rewritten or reformatted in place
  • You want an API or MCP server for automation

Add Quiriz if…

  • The same deck goes out every month or quarter
  • The numbers come from exports or connected sources
  • One definition of each metric must hold on every slide
  • Several people need the same deck from the same data
